Services

Three engagement shapes.

Each engagement is scoped tightly with written deliverables and fixed pricing. I don't sell time-and-materials. Most clients start with a pricing audit and continue into design or advisory.

Shape 1

Pricing Audit

A written recommendation you can act on or hand to your team.

4–6 weeks
$8K – $15K flat

Scope

  • · Interview 3–5 of your customers about willingness to pay
  • · Audit current pricing model and tier structure
  • · Benchmark against comparable companies
  • · Model revenue impact of 2–3 alternative structures
  • · Pressure-test recommendations with your founder team

Deliverable

A 10–20 page written recommendation: tier structure, free allocation sizing, overage policy, migration plan, and the analysis behind each decision.

Shape 2

Credit-System Design

Architect the metering layer and customer-facing UX for your first credit-based pricing.

8–12 weeks
$15K – $25K flat

Scope

  • · Interview customers, audit existing billing infrastructure
  • · Architect the metering layer: what's measured, how, where alerts fire
  • · Design customer-facing UX: caps, alerts, top-up flows, billing dashboard
  • · Write engineering PRDs and specify the data model
  • · Available for design questions through ship date (scheduled check-ins, not real-time)

Deliverable

PRDs ready to hand to engineering, UX wireframes for customer-facing flows, instrumentation spec, recommended billing-platform decision.

Shape 3

Monetization Advisory

Embedded advisory on monetization decisions, pricing experiments, and billing roadmap.

Monthly retainer, 3-month minimum
$10K – $20K / month

Scope

  • · Weekly 30–60 minute scheduled call
  • · Async written input on monetization decisions as they arise
  • · Review of pricing experiments, tier changes, communication drafts
  • · Quarterly written assessment of monetization health
  • · Not real-time Slack; not in standups; not embedded in your team meetings

Deliverable

Sustained senior-PM presence on monetization decisions without the FTE cost. Best fit for companies who have shipped v1 of credit-based pricing and are iterating.

What I don't do

  • · Implement billing systems. I architect; your engineers ship.
  • · Revenue recognition or tax compliance. Refer to your CFO or Big4.
  • · Real-time Slack or daily standups. Async with weekly check-ins.
  • · Hourly billing. Fixed-scope engagements only.
  • · Companies above ~150 employees. Pricing and complexity at that scale warrants FTE.
